Maintaining and Securing infrastructure in Intermountain Fly-over Country - II
The following is a second pictorial description of another late-winter/early-spring security and control maintenance/trouble shooting and repair assignment to critical regional infrastructure and communication facilities in the intermountain region. This is a sequel to the initial article, Maintaining and Securing infrastructure in Intermountain Fly-over Country - I. These types of activities are ongoing to protect and maintain the infrastructure that benifits our entire society.

The specific nature of the work, the location of the facilities and the identifiying marks on the facilities and equipment have been left intentionally vague. It is hoped that the presentation will help others understand and appreciate the type of ongoing work being conducted across the nation to secure our infrastructure, irrespective of what may be occurring in other areas domestically.

The tremendous and difficult work being performed by our military forces in the War on Terror is one part (albeit perhaps the most important one) of the effort to protect and defend America. There are also tens thousands of public servants in many agencies working to maintain, secure and protect critical infrastructure and the populace right here at home. All of them take the same oaths to bear true faith and allegiance to the constitution and to protect and defend it from all enemies foreign and domestic.

It is hoped that through documenting trips like this, all citizens will be more aware of the onging tasks and efforts that make up the work here at home.
